Cult Status is the debut solo album by Chief Kamachi.  It was released on July 24, 2004 on Eastern Conference label. He showcases his overtly aggressive style, a compelling delivery that mixes his intimidating, extra grimy flow (think Bumpy Knuckles) with dense and sophisticated wordplay, (along the lines of Killah Priest). Heavy drums and hypnotic loops dominate the production, while features come courtesy of true school icon Guru, who shows up on the single "The Best," as well as JuJu Mob crew member Reef The Lost Cauze, who gets busy on "#13."
