Diabolic

Picture
Diabolic is an American rapper from Long Island, New York who arose to underground fame in the early 2000’s through a series of high-profile victories in the rap battle scene across the U.S.A. Despite not having released a single nor an album prior to 2010, Diabolic’s fame and underground cult status has never left him. Diabolic speaks to the disillusioned rap fan who is embittered by the state of the mainstream and unsatisfied with the alternatives offered by the underground. The reason his voice impacts unyieldingly is because Diabolic is one of the disillusioned… but his identity will change events that of his own realm. He is notable for his aggressive satirical social lyrics and graphic wordplay rhymes.

Liar & A Thief is the long awaited debut album by Diabolic released on April 6, 2010 on Viper Records.  The album incorporates various ideals sought by music enthusiasts who hunger for an aggressive visual depiction of life by an authentic Hip-Hop artist. Flooded with powerful boom bap & cinematic instrumentals, Diabolic tears through a wide range of subjects with the same commitment to lyricism and vidid use of words, which when combined with his style creates a sound that appears no more than once a decade. Liar & A Thief won 2010 HHUG Album Of The Year award.

The album was produced entirely by Engineer, with the exception of tracks 3, 9, and 17.  The track "Riot (featuring Deadly Hunta & John Otto of Limp Bizkit)" is produced by David Sivey and features live drums by John Otto of Limp Bizkit. Tracks "Nicolai Ros To THe Goul" is an interlude produced by Nightwalker and "Self Destruction (outro)" is prodcued by Diabolic and Immortal Technique.
